Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at First United Methodist Church of West Austintown for Ruth B. Arn of Lordstown who passed away at her residence Tuesday evening. Ruth was born June 30, 1924 in Youngstown a daughter of Earl and Gladys (Hall) Braunbern. She was an administrative assistant for Easco Aluminum for 10 years retiring in 1979. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of West Austintown, Lordstown Historical Society, Lordstown Quilters Association, and an honorary member of Good Time Sam’s Chapter 13 Camping Group. She enjoyed writing poetry which was published in Backwoods Trail and watching her grandchildren’s activities. She also enjoyed spending her winters in Florida with her close friends. She is survived by her four adopted children: John D. Arn of Girard, Richard L Arn of Lisbon, Allyne “Missey” Rech with whom she made her home, and Charles Arn; one sister Jane Morris of Akron; 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandson. She is preceded in death by her husband John K Arn whom she married August 7, 1942 who passed away in 1983. Friends may call from 5-8 PM Friday at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel. Contributions may be given to Hospice of the Valley or the church building fund.
