Ruth B Myers

NEWTON FALLS-There will be a funeral service held at 11AM Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in Pricetown United Methodist Church, 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Rd SW, for Ruth B. Myers, 95, who passed suddenly Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 1:50AM in Briarfield at Ridge. Ruth was born July 26, 1912 in Newton Falls, OH the daughter of the late Shurl and Ruth B. (Baldwin) Orr and lived in the area all of her life. Ruth was a 1930 graduate of Newton Falls High School and attended Youngstown Business College. Ruth retired in 1982 from Warren General Hospital, where she was a ward clerk. Ruth also worked at Wilder Manufacturing in Evansville, OH as a welder operator and also at Troutman’s Drug Store in Niles, OH. Ruth was a member of the United Methodist Church of Niles and its Workers for Christ Class. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed poetry. She loved horses and fishing. She was also proud of being an expert marksman. Ruth is survived by two daughters Shirley (Gene) Snowden with whom she made her home; and Janet (Robert) McCaskill of North Jackson; a sister Virginia Shay of Youngstown; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a sister Mary Lucy Lauban; and three brothers Richard, Linus, and David Orr. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 from 10AM until the hour of service in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Pricetown United Methodist Church 4640 Pritchard-Ohltown Rd SW Newton Falls, Ohio 44444. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
