Eva Ruth Bernard, 90 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Champion Presbyterian Church, 4997 Mahoning Ave. NW Warren, OH 44483 with Pastor Marvin Barney, officiating for Eva Ruth Bernard, 90, of Warren, who passed away February 27, 2015 at St Joseph Medical Center with her family by her side. Ruth was born March 17, 1924 in Marietta, SC, a daughter of the late Blyth and Annie (Koon) Lee. After moving to Ohio, Ruth met and married the love of her life, Albert Bernard, on September 27, 1940. In 1959, they opened Bernard's Flower and Garden Center, which is still in business today. Ruth was a floral designer and loved spending her days at work. She also enjoyed listing to country music, and traveling to Las Vegas. Some of Ruth's most precious memories were spending time with her family and friends, making home cooked meals for everyone to enjoy. She leaves behind a daughter, Mary Lee (Arnold) Morgan, of Travelers Rest, SC, a son, Tony (Joyce) Bernard of Howland Township, OH, 11 grandchildren, Jimmy, Jamie Lynn, Tammy, Samantha, Chrissy, Charlene, Mitchell, Timmy, Denise, Joe and Tom, 15 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert, a son James Bernard, and 4 brothers. Friends and family may call Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. Warren, OH 44484 from 4-6p.m. In addition to flowers, contributions can be made to Champion Presbyterian Church, in Ruth's name, where she was a lifelong member. Ruth's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Shepherd of the Valley, Howland Campus, and St. Joseph Medical Center for all the love and support they gave her through her years.
