Ruth L. Rubbo

Ruth L. Rubbo, age 99, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at her daughter's home in Pittsburgh, Pa. Born February 1, 1917 in Hubbard, Ohio, she was the daughter of Andrew and Anna Mary (DeCota) Lindsay; she lived most of her life in the West Youngstown and Canfield areas. Mrs. Rubbo worked for S.H. Kress Co. as well as Poulakos Bakery in Youngstown; she enjoyed traveling, camping, playing Bridge, reading, and working cross-word puzzles. Survivors include her children: Marianne (William) Dunn and Theodore R. Rubbo of Melbourne, Florida; grandchildren: Melissa Mulholland-Lubic, Gina Rubbo, Carrie Richards, and Nicole Young; great-grand-daughter Makayla Mulholland; and many beloved step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Theodore A. Rubbo who died in 2006; brothers William and Andrew Lindsay and a sister Edith (Lindsay) Jackson. Services will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Lane Funeral Home, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown, Ohio 44515, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
