Ruth M Gorgei --74 Youngstown—Services will be 10 AM Friday at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Ruth M. Gorgei, 74, who passed away peacefully Monday morning with her husband at her side. Ruth was born August 7, 1930 in Youngstown, the daughter of David and Mary (Morris) Black. She was a key puncher for Commercial Shearing for 30 years. Ruth was a graduate of Wilson High School class of 1948 and had attended Ohio State University. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, and a member of Mau-Mil. Ruth loved to travel, enjoyed Arts and Crafts, playing bingo and cards, working crossword puzzles, reading, all sports and scratch offs. Besides her husband, Ernest, whom she married July 26, 1952, Ruth leaves three daughters; Ruth Anne Hall of Columbus, Patty (Jim) Slivanya of Boardman, and Jackie (David) Malis of Dallas Texas. She also leaves seven grandchildren; Jennifer & Jeffrey Hall, Bryan and Brandon Schwartz, and Andrew, Joel, and Sophie Malis, two step grandsons; Jim and Mike Slivanya. Ruth will also be sadly missed by all who knew her. Three brothers Gilmer, Leslie and Richard Black preceded Ruth in death. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
