Sarah Helen Young

Sarah Helen (Mc Kean) Young, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Born June 27, 1923 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Byron Reno and Maude Ethel (Jenkins) McKean. She was a 1941 graduate of Boardman High School and a 1944 graduate of the Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from nursing in 1978 from Tod Babies and Children's Hospital. Mrs. Young married her husband, George W. Young on July 20, 1944; he passed away on January 2, 2005 after 61 years of marriage. Survivors include her five daughters: Karen (Skip) Ellsworth, Eileen Dodson, Susan Klempay, Bettye J. Beatty, Kathleen (Doug) Brink; one son, Bradley Young; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, and 4 brothers. Services will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel.
