Sarah "Sally" Grant

Sarah A. "Sally" Grant, 87, passed away on March 26, 2019 at Grace Woods Assisted Living. Sally was born in Cleveland on February 24, 1932 the only child of William & Mary (Kistler) Grant. After receiving her bachelors degree from Kent State University, Sally took a teaching job with Warren City Schools. She taught elementary school for 33 years before retiring. Sally had a strong faith and was a long-time member of Central Christian Church of Warren. She was also active in many organizations including the Warren Doll Club of Ohio, Mary Chesney Chapter of DAR and Warren Story League. Her involvement with the Trumbull County Historical Society led to her being elected their first woman president. She also was a life member in OEA, NEA and NEOTA. Sally is survived by her cousins Marilyn Poulos and Joyce Marrone and special friends Ken & Elaine Conklin as well as other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service for Sally will be held on Friday April 5th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Music Committee of Central Christian Church, Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, Trumbull County Historical Society or Warren Family Mission.
