Sarah V. Dulin, 91, of Champion passed away peacefully at 4:06 AM Friday April 20, 2012 at Windsor House of Champion following a lengthy illness. She was born April 3, 1921 in Youngstown the daughter of Joseph and Jessie (Zimmerman) Fries and was a graduate of South High School. In her youth, she was an accomplished pianist and played at the St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church of Youngstown and also for numerous recitals in the area. Sarah was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and reading. She was a long time member of the Champion Christian Church where she belonged to the Ruth Circle. Her greatest enjoyment came from taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband of 46 years Raymond R. Dulin Sr. whom she married June 3, 1939 preceded her in death Aug. 14, 1985. She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer Dulin, a brother Robert Fries, and a sister Doris Buckwalter. She will be deeply missed by 3 children Raymond R. (Sharell) Dulin Jr, Charlene (Harold) Wilson, Diane (Harry) Steel all of Champion, 5 grandchildren; Cynthia (Craig) Muder of New Hartford, NY, Theresa Wilson of Baltimore, MD, Adam (Reba) Carpenter of Champion, Greg (Deanna) Dulin of Newton Falls, Susan Wilson of Athens, OH,, and 3 great grandchildren, Sarah Muder, Elyse Muder, and David Carpenter. Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday April 23, 2012 at the Champion Christian Church. Friends will be received from 4-6 PM Sunday at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Roberts Clark Chapel and for 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. The Rev. Kenneth Hopkins Jr. will officiate. Interment will be in the Columbiana Cemetery at 2:30 PM Monday. Material contributions may be made to the memorial fund at the Champion Christian Church.
