Shaun W. Murray

Shaun W. Murray, age 36 passed away Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Shaun was born September 6, 1968 in Washington, PA a son of William G. and Margaret (Dayak) Murray, and moved to the Youngstown area 10 years ago. Shaun enjoyed music and loved playing the guitar, had a wonderful sense of humor and was an avid cook, especially of Slovak food. He is survived by his parents of Danville, VA; his partner Michael Yelic of eight years; one sister Melissa (Anthony) Layne of Ringgold, VA; one brother in law Stephen Bell of Wake Forest, NC; his maternal grandfather Mike Dayak, of Muse, PA; one niece Ellena Yelic; one nephew Zachary Bell; a God Sister Mary Kennon Whittle of Blacksburg, VA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially at CDC. Shaun was loved by many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his twin sister Amy Jo Bell who passed away in June 2004; maternal grandmother Peggy Dayak, and paternal grandparents Bucky and Peggy Murray. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
