Shelba Jean Donley

Shelba Jean (Dorsey) Donley, age 81, of Mineral Ridge, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Hospice House. Born January 8, 1937 in Lizemores, West Virginia; she was the daughter of Sebert and Reba (Morton) Dorsey. She retired from Glenview Manor Nursing Home in 2006 after 32 years of service. She loved camping and her pets, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended Lighthouse Tabernacle. Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia (Guy) Lowes of Holden, WV; seven grandchildren: Michael Paul (Amanda) Stone of Masontown, WV, Alisa Marie (Li Cheng) Stone of San Diego, CA., Brittany Jean Stone of Myrtle Beach, SC, Arielle Elizabeth Stone of Morgantown, WV, Zachary Guy Lowes of Holden, WV, Kevin Randall Donley and Gregory Paul Donley both of Atlanta, GA; four great-grandchildren: Kaylee Elizabeth Stone, Sophia Isabella Stone, Naomi Gabriela Godfrey, and Kylan Anthony Salliey; two brothers, Sebert (Jean) Dorsey and Jerry (Patty) Dorsey, and six sisters: Rose (Ed) Bird, Carolyn Sites, Eva (Marvin) Cottrell, Lorena Snell, Lynn (Frank) Lewis, Elaine (Tim) Wilson; as well as three beloved pets: Abby, Milo, and Memo. Besides her parents, Shelba was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul; her beloved son, Randy; one sister, Elsie Vance; and two brothers, Charles and Bobby Dorsey. Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 10-11AM, where services will begin at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Green Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary, 1859 Depot Rd., Salem, Ohio 44460 in Shelbas name.
