Sherill Lee Petrie

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Sherill Lee Petrie of Austintown who passed away at home on Sunday morning. Sherill was born April 2, 1952 in Webster Springs West Virginia the daughter of William D. and Ruby O. (Tracy) Shields. A Niles McKinley High School graduate, Sherill was a waitress for many years at various restaurants in the area including the Grandview in Canfield. She leaves five sisters: Delores and her husband Charles Latour of Grand Prairie, TX, Fern and her husband Norman Reese of Niles, Evelyn and her husband Frankie Kimble of Port Ritchey, FL, Jean Wonner of Rogers, and Rose and her husband Jim Thorpe of Niles. Sherill also leaves two brothers: Bill and his wife Judy Shields of Niles, and Larry Shields also of Niles. Sherill was preceded in death by her husband Richard Petrie whom she married November 22, 1986 and passed away on November 7, 1991. A brother Ricky Shields and a sister Arliss Pugh also preceded her in death. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Valley at 5190 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.
