Shirley A. Obermiyer

Brookfield Shirley Ann Obermiyer, 73, passed away on Saturday evening, February 20, 2016 at Juniper Village in Sharon, PA. Shirley was born on July 5, 1942 in Sharon, PA, a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Bodnovich) Felesky. She was a 1960 graduate of Brookfield High School. Shortly after high school she married her husband, Thomas J. Obermiyer Sr. on April 6, 1962 and started their family together. She was of Methodist faith and a member of the Brookfield Township United Methodist Church. Shirley was a proud homemaker for her family and loved spending her weekends with her loving husband, children, and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, cleaning, talking on the phone, and she was born to shop. She loved to meet and talk to new people everywhere she went. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas Obermiyer Sr. of Brookfield; her two children, Thomas J. (Tracey) Obermiyer Sr. of Brookfield and Sherry A. (Michael) Obermiyer Mattocks of Liberty; her four grandchildren, Dakota, Emily, Ryan, and Nicholas; and her sister Andrea Felesky of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents. Family will receive friends from 5-8:00PM on Wednesday February 24, 2016 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel located at 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield. Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday February 25, 2016 at the funeral home, with Pastor Dick Smith as officiate. Burial will take place at Brookfield Township Cemetery.
