Shirley A. Upole

There will be a funeral service 11 AM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Shirley A. Upole who passed away at St. Elizabeth Medical Center following a heart aneurysm. She was born April 14, 1940 in Youngstown a daughter of the late Harry Spenser and Elsie (Rauchenbaugh) Woods. Shirley was a LPN for many years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Christian Life Center in Canfield, enjoyed camping at Lake Erie, enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking and watching science fiction, and especially the Cleveland Browns and Indians. She also loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband Billy C. Upole Sr. passed away February 6, 2005. She is survived by three children: Sherry (Raymond) Hinrichs of Austintown, Scott (Jennifer) Upole of North Jackson, and Rick Upole of Las Vegas, NV; one sister Loretta (Scott) Mosteller of CO.; two brothers: Robert Woods of CO., and Harry (Kathy) Woods of Austintown; six grandchildren: Christy, Lucas, Heather Jo, Kayleigh, Scott Jr., Jennifer (Robert) Turner, and six great grandchildren: Candace, Angel, Khanaya, Robert Ray, and twins Alyssa Ann, and Ashleigh Sue. Besides her parents and husband, Shirley is preceded in death by a son Billy C. Upole Jr.; two sisters: Penny Woods and Patricia Childs; and one brother: George Woods. Friends may call from 3 PM until 6 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
