Shirley J. Horton

Services will be held 3 PM Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Shirley J. Horton, 72, of Austintown who passed away Wednesday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center Boardman Campus. Shirley was born August 11, 1937 in Youngstown the daughter of Walter and Cecilia (Heffron) Bish. She was a graduate of Ursuline High School class of 1956 and was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Shirley was a Catholic by faith. She is the former wife of the late John C. Horton. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, and working on crossword puzzles. Shirley leaves six children; Ralph (Denise) Horton of KS, Ray (Julie) Horton of Campbell, Ron (Jun Ann) Horton of KS, Robin (Pete) Finamore of Hubbard, Rhonda (Eddie Morris) Pesa of Austintown, and Randy (Tonya) Horton of Canfield, one sister; Mary Ann (Joseph) Spohn of KS, and Fritz (Marion) Bish of TX, as well as 19 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, and former husband, Shirley is preceded in death by her brother and sister in law; Jerry and Barbara Bish. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 PM Friday and again from 2 to 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
