SHIRLEY M. JOHNSON, 88 YOUNGSTOWN-There will be Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman, for Shirley M. Johnson, 88, who died Friday morning at home. She was born March 2, 1926 in Youngstown, a daughter of John C. and Julia Geiring Maher. Shirley attended South High School and was employed at Moore-Peterson Insurance Co. as an Insurance Adjuster. After retiring in 1989, she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren. She loved her faithful and true companion, her dog Cody. Shirley was an active member at Safe Harbor Church and she cherished her church family. She was involved in Harmony Lodge No. 465 Vasa Order of America and its women's group, the Eveready Ladies. She married the love of her life, Robert W. Johnson, August 21, 1943 and was faithful in raising her family and caretaking for her husband. Shirley and Bob were faithful servants unto the Lord through 60 years of marriage. Shirley is survived by her sons, Larry R. (Beverly) Johnson and Ronald J. (Cindy) Johnson, both of Boardman; her daughters, Judith A. Bell, also of Boardman, Jayne E. (Robert) Greene of Melbourne, FL and Joan L. (Chris) Deladurantey of Naples, FL; fifteen grandchildren; many gr. grandchildren and many gr. gr. grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Jack, her sister, Ruth and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to the Service. Memorials may be given to Safe Harbor Church, 177 Oakley Ave. Yo., OH 44512. She was born again in the Lord and now has everlasting life with Him. She received Him as her Lord and Savior.
