Shirley Mae Lally

Shirley Mae Lally, age 87 of the Manor at Autumn Hills in Niles, Ohio, formerly of Cornersburg, died on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 1:14 AM at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born on April 24, 1928 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Measmer Lally. Shirley was a retired secretary for various companies including US Steel, Woodside Hospital, and for the State of Ohio. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and also attended the Bible School at her church. Shirley never, ever met an enemy, she was a friend to all. Survivors include her nieces and nephew, Mike Capito and Karen of Vienna, Shirlee (Kenneth) Fowler of Stow, and Dean Grapentine of Austintown; her great-nieces and great-nephews,, Amanda Kunkle, Matthew Kunkle, Heather (Eric) Pruchnicki, and Joseph Fowler; her cousins, Richard Measmer, and Rudy Nelson; her very dear friends, Paul and Diane Capito. Other than her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Ralph Grapentine; her nephew, Brett Grapentine. Funeral services will be held at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel at 11 AM, Friday, August 28, 2015 where Pastor Duane Jesse will celebrate Shirley's life. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 AM. Shirley will be laid to rest at Brunstetter Cemetery in Austintown, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society in Shirley's memory.
