Shirley S Silver, age 88 formerly of Warren died on Thursday morning, September 4, 2014, at Wiggins Place in Beachwood. She was born July 18, 1926 in Warren, the daughter of the late Ben and Clara Eisenstot Saddle. An active member of the Warren community for over 85 years, Shirley was best known for her founding of the Animal Welfare League, her work with SCOPE as the volunteer coordinator for many years and with Beth Israel Temple Center, where she organized the annual flea market. She was an active member of the Sisterhood and Hadassah. Shirley is survived by three sons, Philip (Lori) Silver of Nipomo, Calif., Eric (Cyndi) Silver of Arroyo Grande, Calif. and Michael (Beth) Silver of Beachwood; six grandchildren, Zoe, Ben (Jacquelyn), Nicholas, Ian, Rachael and Marc Silver and one great granddaughter, Isabella Silver. Her husband of nearly 49 years, Isadore Louis Silver, whom she married December 26, 1948 preceded her in death in 1997. One brother, Max Saddle also preceded in death. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren with Rabbi Howard Kutner officiating. Burial will be at Beth Israel Cemetery in Warren Township. On Monday, September 8th a time of remembrance will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Wiggins Place, 27070 Cedar Rd., Beachwood, OH 44122. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trumbull County Animal Welfare League, 812 Youngstown Kingsville Rd. SE, Vienna, OH 44473 or to the Wiggins Place Gift Fund in Beachwood.
