Sincerae Opatken

YOUNGSTOWN Sincearae "Cindy" Opatken, age 48, died unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth Medical Center on Sunday, April 22, 2012. Born December 19, 1963 in Youngstown, she was the daughter of Gerald and Patricia Ann (Strosnider) Tarr. Cindy was a life-long resident of the area, attended the Austintown Community Church, and enjoyed her family, bingo, and shopping. Survivors include: her husband of 25 years, Thomas B. Opatken whom she married on March 28, 1987; children: Thomas G., Heather L., Blaine W., and Lynsey L.; grandson Landon and expecting a second grandchild soon; sister Geri L. Neese; brother Gerald L. "JT" (Karen) Tarr Jr.; nieces and nephew: Summer L., Kendall J., and Haley A. Tarr. Cindy was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Austintown Community Church. Memorials may be made to the family to help defray final expenses.
