Sophia M. Donaldson

Sophia M. Donaldson of Masury, Ohio, died at 7:00 AM Tuesday (10-30-2007) at her home following an extended illness. She was 89. Mrs. Donaldson was born in Clintonville, Pennsylvania on January 6, 1918, a daughter of Van Lear and Nancy (Hoffman) Hoffman. Sophia retired from Mrs. Fitzgerald Pre-School after 10 years as a Pre-School Teacher. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, crocheting, and knitting. Survivors include: her daughters, Nancy Wygant & her husband James, Columbus, Ohio, and Karen Garey, Hastings, Minnesota; her eight grandchildren; her twelve great-grandchildren; and her one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Clair E. Donaldson, whom she married July 31, 1937, he died October 2, 1983; by her son, Gary E. Donaldson; and by her sister, Sara L. Sweet.
