Girard- Funeral services will be held at 11AM Friday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Stanley B. Seifert of Girard who passed away early Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born April 27, 1927 in Austintown, a son of the late Bert and Minnie (Koby) Seifert. He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and was a veteran of the U.S. military serving during WW II in the U.S. Merchant Marine, the Army Reserves, and the Air Force Reserves from which he retired in 1987 after more than forty years of service. Stanley was a retired employee of Trumbull County working in the print shop for ten years and had previously worked for Multigraphics, Inc, of Youngstown as a maintenance technician for more than thirty years. He was a member of the National Air Force Association in which he was a faithful contributor to the National Air Force Museum, the VFW, American Legion Post 301 of Austintown, and he enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and mostly spending time with his family and friends. Stanley leaves to cherish his memory six children: Thomas (Mary Lynne) Seifert of Caledonia, NY, Robert (Diana) Seifert of Lisbon, Gail Sertick of Liberty, Kurt (Kathleen) Seifert of Cortland, Mark Seifert, and Eric Seifert of Liberty. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Besides his parents Stanley is preceded in death by a brother Jack Schrader and two sisters: Lucille Thompson and Dorothy Krause. Friends may call from 6-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Material contributions may be made in Stanley's memory at the funeral home.
