Warren- Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Father George P. Popovich at 12:30 pm Monday at SS. Cyril &Methodius Catholic Church in Warren for Stanley J. Kaszowski of Warren who passed away Thursday evening at his residence after being stricken by a massive stroke over 10 years ago. Mr. Kaszowski was born March 30, 1932 in Warren the son of Stanley M. and Rose (Barch) Kaszowski and was a life long area resident. He was a 1950 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School; he retired March 31, 1987 from Copperweld Steel Company after working 37 years as a Heater on the 21” Mill. Mr. Kaszowski was a Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the church and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, flea marketing, and was an avid polka dancer with his wife. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Mary Ann (LaBanc) Kaszowski whom he married June 25, 1955, two sons Stanley (Rebecca) Kaszowski of Howland Twp., and their children Justin, Cory, Emily, a son Robert M. Kaszowski Sr. of Bazetta Twp., and his son Robert M. Kaszowski Jr. three daughters Catherine (Thomas) Ponikvar of Powell OH, and their children Jessica and Brian Moore, a daughter Carolyn (Vince) Engen of Aurora, IL., and their son Louis Kostelaz, a daughter Patricia (Todd) Mobley of Niles, and their children Bailey and Carson Mobley, two brothers, Eugene Kaszowski of Leavittsburg, Carl Kaszowski of Warren and one sister Stella Shinoskie of Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother Mary Kaszowski and two grand-daughters Rachel and Jacqueline Kostelaz. Family and friends may call from 6-8 pm Sunday at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral home. Closing prayers will take place at 12 pm Monday at the funeral home before going to church. Burial will be in All Soul’s Cemetery in Cortland. The family requests that Material Tributes take the form of donations to the Heritage Fund and the Lazarus Fund of the Church.
