Stella Katherine Wanecek

Stella Kathryn Wanecek, age 91 of Warren, passed to the Lord peacefully to be with her husband, Frank, whom she dearly loved, on Thursday morning, December 9, 2010, at Gracewood Senior Living Center in Niles. She was born November 30, 1919 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of the late Walety and Waleria Szenko Wysko. Stella was a homemaker and loving wife and mother all of her married life. She was a dedicated member, for over 60 years, of St. James Church and volunteered for many years in the kitchen of the St. Vincent dePaul Society in Warren. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, canning and cooking. Her husband Frank A. Wanecek, whom she married June 23, 1948, preceded in death October 13, 1983. One sister, Bernice Cwiertnia also preceded her in death. Stella is survived by three sons, Richard F. (Jennie) Wanecek of Denver, Colo., Michael A. Wanecek of Ukiah, Calif. and Daniel A. (Janet) Wanecek of Warren; three grandchildren, Michael (Jessica) Wanecek, Jamie Marie (Jim) Archer and Jeannine Salata; four great grandchildren, Cameron and Emma Wanecek and Cody and Harley Archer; one sister, Dorothy (John) Kalar and one brother, John Wysko both of Council Bluffs, Iowa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church in Warren, with Rev. Charles Crumbley celebrating the mass. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel in Warren. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta Twp.
