Stella L. Bell, 95, of Hermitage, PA, formerly of Brookfield, OH, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Saint John XXIII Home. Stella was born April 16, 1919 in Mt. Pleasant, PA, daughter of the late, Andrew and Catherine Pelc. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sharon, PA. Stella was an excellent cook. She enjoyed baking, gardening, sewing, ceramics, and crafts, but most of all her family and friends. Stella married Louis Thomas Bell on October 24, 1936. She was widowed on September 14, 1985 after 49 wonderful years of marriage. Stella was the mother of Beverly Joan (Gary) Voyce of Joliet, IL; grandmother to Kent (Jerry Ann) Voyce, Deborah (Mark) Stofan, Douglas Voyce, Christopher (Victoria) Malone and Nadine Malone; great grandmother of Laurel Stofan, Antonio Malone, Dominic Malone and Samuel Thomas Voyce; and sister of Lillian (Andrew) Sedlock of Smithfield, PA and Josephine Shaffer of Smithfield, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis T. Bell; daughter, Phyllis Elaine Malone; great granddaughter, Kayley Stofan; son-in-law, Samuel Malone; and brother-in-law, William Shaffer. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Stella's devoted caretakers. The family is inviting family and friends to visit from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Saint John XXIII Home, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA 16148, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in the Roncalli Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation, beginning at 12:00PM, with Monsignor Salvatore Mitchell officiating. Burial will take place at Brookfield Township Cemetery.
