Stella Petrykowski of Masury, OH, died on Tuesday (01-22-2008) at 3:15PM in the Sharon Regional Health Care System. She was 82. Mrs. Petrykowski was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 20, 1926, a daughter of Martin and Victoria (Skrok) Prorok. A graduate from Oliver High School, Stella went on to marry Joseph Petrykowski on August 30th, 1952 in Pittsburgh, PA and together they shared fifty-five years of marriage. She was a proud member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Masury, OH, a member of the former Masury VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary, and a member of the Polish National Alliance. She was proud of her family and greatly enjoyed being active with them through the Brookfield Room Mothers, and by cooking, baking for them. She was always happy to be a generous contributor to many various societies and foundations. She is survived by her husband Joseph; her sons Leo Petry and his wife Kate of New Haven, CT, and Joe Petrykowski of Masury, OH; her daughter Vici Milarcik and her husband David of Masury, OH; her brother Thomas Prorok of Harrisville, PA; and three grandchildren Madison Milarcik, Samuel Petry, and Rachelle Petry. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter Eva; by her brother Marion Prorok; and by her sister Genevieve Prorok. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with Rev. Frank Zanni, Pastor. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 PM at the Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield. Burial will be in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
