Stella Zeigler

Stella Zeigler, 85 Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Ohev Tzedek Synagogue 5245 Glenwood Ave., Boardman for Stella Zeigler, 85 of Boardman a beautiful shining star, loved by everyone and found the good in all, has begun her new journey into heaven on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center. Stella was born June 22, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Emanuel and Esther Lacko and was a lifelong area resident. Stella graduated from the Rayen School and the Ohio Institute for Medical Assistants in Cleveland. She was a blood lab technician for the T. B. Sanitarium and later St. Elizabeth Hospital for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She had also been owner/operator with her husband of the former Newport Deli for 20 years. Stella was a member of Ohev Tzedek Synogogue and was a reknown local artist. She had remarkable works of art that hung in the Butler Institute of Art and had won many ribbons at the Canfield Fair and most recently was the winner of the Margaret Evans Memorable Award. Her wonderful and loving husband, Allan K. Zeigler whom she married May 18, 1968, died July 23, 1980. Stella leaves her daughter, Wendy (George) Aron of Boardman; her son, Michael Lee Cobb of Youngstown and one granddaughter, Lindsay Alana Aron. Besides her parents and her husband, Stella was preceded in eternal rest by her beloved grandson, Jordan Alexander Aron; 2 sisters, Marian Hirschl and Sarah Schuer Zoldan. The heavens will finally rejoice as they reunite. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Silver Lining Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 401, Canfield 44406. The Lane Family Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel is handling the arrangements. "Wither thou goest I will go." Ruth 1, verse 16. Sleep well, until we meet again Beloved Mother.
