AUSTINTOWN-Mass of Christian will be offered at 9:30AM Monday, July 3, 2006 with the Rev. Joseph Rudjak officiating in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church and closing prayers will be recited at 9:00 AM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Stephen J. 'Chump' Martucci, of Austintown, who passed away at 10:24 AM Friday, June 30, 2006 in Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown. Stephen was 88. Chump was born on June 22, 1918 in Youngstown, Ohio and was the son of the late Anthony and Columba (DiMailo) Martucci and lived in the area all of his life. Chump retired in 1978 from the B&O Railroad where he worked for 36 years as an inspector. Chump was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church in Youngstown. Chump is survived by his wife of 66 years Julia C. Thomas, whom he married on June 22, 1940; three children Anthony “Tony” (Karen) of Mineral Ridge, Marie (Dennis) McBride of Austintown, and Patrick (Marge) of Philadelphia; two sisters Angeline Piesto of Youngstown, and Delores Nero of Poland; five grandchildren Shirlee (Anthony) Stiles, Michael McBride, Zoe Martucci, Tonetta (Mike) Knight, Steve (Marcella) Martucci, and Robinette McBride; five great grandchildren April Stiles, Anthony M. Stiles, Blake Dunham, Brynn McBride, and Collin M. McBride; two step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Chump was preceded in death by three brothers John, Frank, and Sam Martucci; and two sisters Connie Leardi, and Antoinnette Carfolo. Family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Sunday, July 2, 2006 in the funeral home.
