Stephen Koss

Stephen Koss age 90 of Youngstown passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at his residence. Born June 11, 1922 in Youngstown, he was the son of Joseph and Mary (Kitt) Koss. He served our country in the US Army during WWII and was very proud of his military work. He married Philomena Berardino on June 4, 1949 and together they had one son. Mr. Koss retired in 1986 from Hynes Steel after 35 years of service. He was an avid HAM radio operator and enjoyed gardening, reading and working crossword puzzles. Survivors include his wife, his son, Robert S. (Susan) Koss of Powell, Ohio, and a brother, Michael (Geraldine) Koss of Austintown, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 12:00- 1:00pm and Service at 1:00pm at the Lane Family Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disciples of Christ Christian Church of Boardman, Ohio.
