Susan Foor

Services celebrating the life of Susan Foor will be 11:00 AM on Monday December 5th at Ellsworth Community Church. Susan died Wednesday evening at the Humility House from complications of Alzheimer disease. Susan was born June 21, 1928 in Bedford Pa. the daughter of Rush and Theresa (Gehm) Ritchey. She married Curtis Foor September 30, 1949 and had 60 years with him until his passing in 2009. Susan was a member of Ellsworth Community Church where she had formerly taught Sunday school for many years and was active in the King's Daughters Woman's group. For 25 years Susan was a volunteer in the activities department of the former Sleighbell Nursing Home now Brairfield Nursing Home in Austintown. She loved to do word search puzzles and crochet. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Ellen (Glen) Hall of Hubbard, granddaughters Kristen (Vincent) Bounds of Creedmoor, N.C., Ashley (Jamey) Evans of McDonald and great grandchildren Leah and Henry Evans. She will also be missed by her sister Anna Deshong and brother John Ritchey in Pa. Susan was preceded in death by her husband, brothers, George and Frank Ritchey, sisters, Kathryn Cassey and Elsie McDonald and an infant sister. The Foor family would like to thank the staff at Antonine Village Adult Day Care and Assisted Living, Humility House and Hospice of the Valley for their loving care of Susan and the support given to her family. Lane Funeral Home Austintown has assisted the family with services.
