Susan Russ

Warren - Susan K. Russ, 75, passed away on Tuesday evening, February 9, 2016 at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Warren, OH. Susan was born on April 17, 1940 in Canton, OH, a daughter of the late Paul and Florence (Griffith) Chopson. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Canton, OH. She was a proud homemaker and found work at Johnny's Pastry in Canton. She moved to the Niles area after she got married to her husband, Joseph Russ, on October 10, 1975 and moved to Brookfield in 1983. Once she moved, she became a member of Payne's Corner Christian Church in Brookfield. She had a love for animals and enjoyed being around people. Susan will be deeply missed by her daughter, Terri (TC) Dankovich of Canfield; her son Bret Shaw of Phoenix, AZ; her step-son, Steven Russ of Corpus Christi, TX; three grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler, and Zachary Dankovich; and her two sisters, Merry Ann (Don) Nehlen of FL and Donna (John) Brendus of Massillon, OH. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Russ, who passed away on December 14, 2004. A memorial service will be held for Susan on Saturday February 13, 2016 at 4:00PM at Lane Family Funeral Homes Canfield Chapel located at 65 N. Broad Street Canfield, OH 44406.
