Tad C. Fithian

Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lane Family Funeral Home, Anstrom Chapel, Boardman followed by a Masonic Service for Tad C.Fithian, 56 of North Jackson who died suddenly at his home Sunday evening. Tad was born November 24, 1958 in Youngstown, a son of David and Carol Cooper Fithian and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Boardman High School in 1977 and had been an automobile technician. Tad was Past Master and Secretary of Western Star Lodge #21 F. & A.M., a 32 degree Mason of Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Youngstown serving as Commander in Chief and partakes in many degrees. He was a past presiding officer in the York Rite, Youngstown Chapter #93 Royal Arch Masons, Buechner Council #107 Royal & Select Masons, St. John's Commandery #20 Knights Templar and was knighted a "Knight of the York Cross of Honour." Tad was currently secretary of the Aut Mori Grotto and serving on the board of the Youngstown Masonic Temple. He was a member of Boardman Methodist Church and had enjoyed American Revolution re-enacting. Besides his parents of Canfield, Tad leaves his wife, the former Susan Fancher Bissenden whom he married July 25, 2009; two sisters, Linda (Joseph) Swartz of Columbus, Catherine Fithian of Elk Grove, California; his in-laws, Thomas and Diana Fancher and two sisters-in-law, Karen (Jeff) Lanning, Brenda (David) Weilbacher all of Columbus; three nephews, Simon Fithian, Josiah Lanning and Micah Lanning and his beloved show dogs. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Anstrom Chapel. The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to the Ohio Masonic Home, 2655 W.
