Terrance "Terry" B. James, Sr.

Terrance "Terry" B. James, Sr., 58, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, December 14, 2017 with his wife, Susan by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Terry was born April 19, 1959, a son of David W. and Doris A. Robinson James, Sr. Terry was a 1977 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and had attended Y.S.U. He was employed by General Motors for over 40 years. He regularly attended Western Reserve United Methodist Church in Canfield, his entire life. Terry enjoyed baseball, golf, chess and playing pool but his greatest passion was doing anything that involved time spent with his family and grandchildren. He was an endearing fan of the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Lakers. Terry served as a coach for Austintown Community Baseball for many years and helped to maintain the baseball fields. Terry is survived by the love of his life, his wife the former Susan L. McDonald, whom he married July 3, 1981; his four sons, Marshall (June) Silvernail of Austintown, Terry (Sharon) James of Columbiana, Michael (Amy) James of Columbiana and Tommy James of Austintown. He loved his seven grandchildren, Jake Bullen and Avery Cabuno of Austintown, Alexis and Brycen James of Columbiana and Brayden, Sheldon and Eliana James of Columbiana. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Frank) Stellato of Struthers, his brother, David (Patty) James of North Jackson and his twin sisters, Sheri (Frank) Spano of Newton Falls and Lori (Jon) Ramsbottom of Struthers. Terry was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, with Reverend Russ Adams officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, prior to the Service, at the church.
