Terry L. Seymour of Cortland died on Monday January 26, 2009 in Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was 53 years old. Mr. Seymour was born in Johnstown, PA on April 17, 1955, a son of Donald C. and Agnes M. (Mulherin) Seymour. Terry was a 1977 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation he moved to Cortland and was presently the Area Maintenance Manager of the Blast Furnace at Severstahl Steel of Warren Inc.. He married the former Jacqueline Cervenak on September 11, 1982 together they have shared twenty-six years of marriage. Terry was an avid outdoorsman and spent any free time he had enjoying river fishing but especially loved fishing for trout. He was great lover of animals and enjoyed taking care of his cats. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he also enjoyed the Pitt Panthers, and supporting his children in any sports they were involved in. Above all he was a dedicated family man who cherished his time with them. He is survived by his wife Jackie at home; two sons John and his wife Lynn of St. Louis, MO and by Eric of Cortland, OH; two daughters Lisa Seymour and her companion Mike Allen of Bazetta, OH, and by Christina Hrenko and her husband Jeff of Greer, SC; three grandchildren Kayla Seymour, Brandon Hrenko and Brooke Hrenko; his mother Agnes of Springdale, PA; his brother Ronald Seymour and his wife Marilyn of Woodstock Valley, CT; and by his sister Carol Finley and her husband David of Springdale, PA also survive. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father in 1980. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 30th, 2009 at 11:00AM at the Shafer-Winans Funeral Chapel, Cortland. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the services on Friday. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
