Theodore Kostoff

Hartford Twp.- Theodore Kostoff 87, of Hartford, OH passed away on Saturday morning May 17, 2014 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles, OH following a period of declining health. Mr. Kostoff was born in Hartford, OH on July 20, 1926 one of three sons of Samuel and Sylvia (Eosevoff) Kostoff. He attended Hartford Schools and went on to serve our country in United States Navy during World War II. He received his honorable discharge from the US Naval training Center in Sampson, NY on October 10, 1944. In his leisure time, Teddy enjoyed vacationing in Niagara Falls, Canada, Provincetown, Massachusetts and Siesta Key, Florida. He was a truck driver for more than forty years and had worked for American Laundry, Gruitza Coal, and the J.B. Goldberg Company where he retired from. Mr. Kostoff was preceded in death by his parents; his wives Mary Bartolin Kostoff, and Beverly Robinson Kostoff; and by his brother Nicholas Kostoff. He leaves behind his only son Richard Kostoff and his wife Marilyn of Hartford, OH; granddaughter Lisa Marie of Cypress, TX; grandson Brian Douglas and his wife Randi and their six children Daphne, Olivia, Peyton, Brayden, Josiah, and Jeremiah all of Sharon, PA; and by his brother Lewis Kostoff of Hartford, OH. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00PM on Thursday May 22, 2014 at the Madasz Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes in Brookfield, OH. Military Services will be conducted by the Trumbull County Honor Guard on Friday morning at 10:00AM at the chapel of Hartford Township Cemetery.
