Thomas E. Moschella

Thomas Edward Moschella, age 65 of Youngstown, Ohio, died at his home on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 10:58 PM. He was born on March 25, 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Hubert Moschella and the late Emily Rogers Moschella Vinion. Tom was both a tank mechanic in the U.S. Army, and an auto mechanic at BF Goodrich/Goodyear. He loved antiques and auctions and he also refurbished furniture with his brother, Tim Moschella, at Youngstown Furniture Stripping. He was actively involved with the VVA Chapter 135, where he served as president, and he was also a member of the American Legion Post #472. Tom was passionate about fixing vehicles and watching western films, especially John Wayne. He enjoyed dancing, and did a heck of a Donald Duck impression. He was also an avid reader of Louis L'amour novels. Tom will be greatly missed by his friends and family and he will surely never be forgotten! He died as he lived-- everyone's friend. Tom was an honorably discharged US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. Survivors include his four daughters, Danielle Diane Moschella of Honolulu, Deanna Denise Moschella of Austintown, Donna Victoria Moschella of Las Vegas, and Nicole Roxanne Moschella of Youngstown; two grandchildren, Ashton Kennedy, and Racole Turney; and two siblings, Hubert Theodore Moschella of Austintown, and Carol Moschella of Boardman. Also surviving is his ex-wife and mother of his children, Mary Alice Moschella of San Jose, CA. Other than his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his step-father, David Vinion, his step-mother, Julie Moschella, and his brother, Timothy Moschella. Family and friends may visit at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel from 5:00 7:00 PM, Friday, August 7, 2015. Morning prayers will begin at 9:15 AM at the funeral home on Saturday morning before processing to the Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2015, where Father Kevin Peters will celebrate Tom's life. Tom will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio.
