Thomas Earle Fark

May 16, 1940 — April 15, 2015

Thomas Earle Fark, of Niles, Ohio, was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 16, 1940. He passed away, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 5:45 AM at his home after a long battle with COPD. He was just shy of his 75th birthday and leaves behind his wife, the former Jaci Walker, whom he married on June 18, 1998. He also leaves behind a legacy of practical free thinkers, his children, Karen Cogswell of Warren, Karol (Jim) Baughman of Niles, Kathy (Jarrod) DiBell of Champion, Coy (Heather) Slusher of Southington, Cathalene (Paul) Massey of Stanmore, England, and Jack (Candace) Slusher of Niles; along with 21 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also leaves one brother, Roy (Elaine) Fark of Kinsman. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Henry and Dora Hunter Fark. Thomas was known for his quick wit, sharp humor, and fierce independence. He was proud to admit to over a hundred and fifty jobs in his lifetime and was an avid gun and coin collector, but delighted most in his extensive family. His teachings, humility, and critical thinking, have touched many and will allow those, who remember him, to continue to live life on their own terms, as he would have wanted. At his request, cremation will take place and private services will be held at a later date.
