Thomas F. Blair

Youngstown- Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday At the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Thomas F. Blair of Ridgelawn Ave. who died Sunday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Blair was born July 3, 1926 in Youngstown the son of Charles and Dora Blair and was a life long area resident. He retired in 1981 from the Youngstown Fire Department where he had worked 29 years. He was also a self employed painter and had also worked at the G.M. McKelvey Company. Mr. Blair was a member of St. Brendan’s Church, Youngstown Saxon Club, Girard American Legion and the Struthers V.F.W. and was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Blair is survived by his wife Isabelle (Chesney) Blair whom he married May 17, 1947, three daughters Mary Kathleen Koma of Youngstown, Karen Wydick of New Springfield and Doreen and Mike Deutschlander of Canfield. He is also survived by one brother William Blair of Lakeland FL., eight grandchildren Kimberly King, David Koma, Dawn Montella, Peter Koma, Thomas and Brian Wydick, Amy and Michael Deutschlander, and two great grandchildren Mindy Koma and Nicole King. He was preceded in death by two sisters Lucille Neese and Marie Florence and one brother Robert Blair. Friends and family may call from 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
