Thomas J. Sharkey, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2013. Born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 13, 1955, he was the son of the late Emily and Mathew Sharkey. Tom was beloved husband of 23 years to Sharon (Delfino), loving father to Kristen and Kayla, cherished brother of Sally Levine (Joseph), Solon, OH and Carole Manley (Robert), Roswell, GA. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Eleanor (wife of the late David Delfino) and sister-in-law Karen Delfino.. He was dearest uncle to Nicholas Levine, Kate Manley, Lindsey and Lauren Paulin. In addition to his family, he was dear to a circle of friends whose relationships began in elementary school and remained solid through adult life. Tom had a wonderful sense of humor and brought kindness and compassion to each of his encounters with family, friends, and colleagues. An avid golfer, snow skier and overall sports enthusiast, Tom was a member of the Teenies/Marlowe's 1987 N.T.F.L. Championship Football Team. Tom was a 1973 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. He attended Youngstown State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting). He worked 35 years for the Coca Cola Bottling Company where he rose through the ranks to become their Accounting Manager. He retired from Coca Cola in 2007. Most recently, Tom was employed as Controller for the Superior Beverage Group in Glenwillow, OH. He and his family are members of St. Joseph Church in Austintown. A celebration of Tom's life will held Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph Church in Austintown, Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at Calvary Cemetery
