Thomas "Tommy" Richard Wogan, 22, of Tiffin, Ohio, left this earthly life January 27, 2018 in Tiffin, OH following a battle with depression. He was born July 3, 1995 in Greenville, PA to Thomas and April (Mazarik) Wogan. Tommy is survived by his loving parents Thomas and Kelly (Sparks) Wogan of Nashport, OH; siblings Kyle (Ashley) Harman of Mantua, OH, Kaylin Harman of Suffolk, VA, Kirstie Harman of Columbus, OH; grandfathers Walter Dale Wogan and Richard Mazarik (Kathleen Sekela), both of Warren, OH; aunt Lisa Mazarik (Paul Whalen) of Tampa, FL, aunt Sandra (Steven) Ashe of Carlisle, PA, grandparents Herb and Sharon Tabor of Garrettsville, OH, and grandparents Don and Janeen Sparks of Strongsville, OH. He leaves behind many other extended family members and friends who loved him deeply and miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, April Wogan, by grandmothers Thelma Wogan and Maryann Mazarik, and his uncle Richard Mazarik. Tommy was a 2013 Licking Valley High School graduate, where he was a three-year letterman and team captain in both football and wrestling. After high school, Tommy continued to play football and wrestle during his freshman and sophomore years at Heidelberg University. He graduated cum laude from Heidelberg in 2017 with a bachelors degree in Sports Management, and was pursuing his MBA at Heidelberg. During summer breaks he worked at Lowes as a customer service associate and on the stocking crew. Tommy was extremely active in his fraternity, Nu Sigma Alpha (also known as the "Heids"). He served as the fraternitys secretary and then as its president during the spring semester of his senior year. With the fraternity he volunteered for Trinity United Church of Christ, Tiffin-Seneca Teen Center, and the Ryan J. Klebowski Memorial Fund that benefits children with cancer. Tommy enjoyed time in the outdoors riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes as well as deer hunting with his father. Tommy will always be remembered for his kindness, infectious smile, and unique sense of humor. Tommy was a gentle soul loved by his family and many friends. Though Tommy was only on this earthly planet for a short 22 years; his sphere of influence was truly amazing. He was a smart, loving, and gracious young man, and is dearly missed. Tommy will always be remembered for his courage during difficult times, and even though he took his own life we know he is at rest without pain now.
