Thomas William Phillips

GIRARD-There will be a memorial service held on Friday, November 9, 2007 at 7PM in the Lane Funeral Home Mineral Ridge Chapel for Thomas William Phillips, 64, who passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 5AM in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Thomas was born August 28, 1943 in Niles the son of the late James O. and Sadie (Boyd) Phillips and worked in maintenance for GWA Communities. Thomas is survived by his wife the former Carol L. Carpenter, whom he married April 1, 1986; five children Veronica M. of Uniontown, PA; Thomas of California; Joseph, James, and Brian all of Uniontown, PA; four stepchildren John Howard, Roberta (Leonard) Holbrook, Carol Ann (Ronald) McConnell, and Robert Hunter all of Girard; two brothers Alan Phillips of Niles and Robert Phillips of Philadelphia, PA; a sister Katherine Poorbaugh of Vienna; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by a brother Richard Phillips and three grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 9, 2007 one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
