Tillie Mary Korbar

Brookfield Otilia Tillie Mary ( Zele) Korbar, 94, passed away Tuesday evening, June 30, 2015 at Obrien's Memorial Health Care in Brookfield, OH. Tillie was born on January 10, 1921 in Canton, OH, a daughter of John and Mary (Turk) Zele. She was a lifelong resident and a 1939 graduate of Brookfield High School. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sharon, PA and was a past president of the S.N.P.J., Lodge 31. She enjoyed polka dancing with her husband, her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed working with her ladies. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Nancy (George) Chomos of Brookfield; two grandchildren, Michael (Erica) Chomos and Susan (John) Shingledecker; four great-grandchildren, Jake and Lauren Shingledecker and Zoe and Lyric Chomos; two sisters, Christine Paulenich of Sharon, PA and Dorothy Spadin of Masury; and her sister in law, Josephine (Anthony) Catalano of North Collins, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Korbar whom she married on June 12, 1943 and passed away on September 24, 1995; her sister, Mary Bitenz, and infant sister Annie Zele. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Tillie on Monday July 6, 2015 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sharon, PA with Father Henry Andre Officiating. Family and friends may call from 4-6:00PM on Sunday July 5, 2015 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel located at 6923 Warren-Sharon Road Brookfield, OH 44403. Burial will take place at St.Mary's Cemetery in Sharon, Pa where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
