Tina Cantelmo

Tina Cantelmo (nee Ezzo), age 79, died October 16, 2010. She was born in Girard, OH on July 28, 1931, daughter of James and Rose Ruggiero Ezzo. She was married for 47 years to Sonny Cantelmo who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dominic Ezzo and grandson, Jackson Cantelmo. She is survived by one daughter, Susie (Doug) Shamp of Doylestown, OH and one son, Frank (Gretchen) Cantelmo of Streetsboro, OH and four grandchildren, Michael (Lindsay) Shamp of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Christy Shamp of Asheville, NC, Gabriella Cantelmo of Niles, OH and Jacob Cantelmo of Streetsboro, OH. She is also survived by two sisters, Mary (Joe) Petrovich, Phil (Jack) Hogan and one sister-in-law, Angela Ezzo, all from Girard, OH along with many nieces and nephews. Tina was a 1949 graduate of Girard High School and was employed by Trumbull County Auditors Office until 1956. Later, she retired from Warren Urology Group from where she worked from 1969 to 1991. She was an active member of St. Cyril & Methodius Church, participating in the perogie sales, church social events and was a Eucharistic Minister to hospital patients and home bound individuals. Tina was also an active member of the church 50/50 club. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and gambling. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 10AM until 12PM at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church in Warren. The Rev. James Walker will conduct a Mass of Christian burial at 12PM at the church. Interment will be in Girard Cemetery. Arrangements have been handled by Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to Hospice of The Valley at 5000 E. Market St. #19, Warren, OH 44484, Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County at 545 Brunstetter Rd. SW Warren, OH 44481 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
