AUSTINTOWN- Todd Stuart Hassel, 66, passed away Thursday June 12th at his home in Austintown, OH after a well fought battle with cancer. Todd was the son of the late William P. Jr. and Shirley Hassel; born on 5/30/1948 in Sharon, Pa. Todd was a 1966 graduate of Joseph Badger High School in Kinsman, OH, and also attended Penn-Ohio Community College in Youngstown, OH. Todd began his career in 1969 at the Republic Steel Data Center in Warren, OH. During his 42 year career he served as Head of Computer Operations and later finished his career in Albany, NY with Computer Science Corporation. Todd spent his free time as an avid golfer, classic car enthusiast, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family. Todd was an active member of Churchhill United Methodist Church, and McKnownville United Methodist Church in Albany. Todd is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patricia L. Hassel, as well as three sons; Brian Hassel and wife Helen of Fredericktown, OH, Keith Miller and wife Lucille of Newnan, GA, and Stuart Hassel who is proudly serving in the United States Air Force at Luke Air force Base, AZ. Also survived by two grandsons; Michael and Carter Hassel; a sister Terry Uhrin of Greenville, PA; niece Sylvia Miodrag; and nephew Wesley Uhrin. Todd leaves behind a legacy of principles, character, faith, and love of family. Family will receive friends Monday, June 16 at Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave, from 2-4PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 4PM.
