Tommie A Real

Tommie A. Real, age 75 of Warren, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at St. Joseph Health Center at 9:20 PM. He was born on October 7, 1937 in Celina, Ohio, the son of the late Otho and Myrtle Graham Real. Tommie was a 1955 graduate of Celina High School and was a foreman for United Telephone in Warren/Cortland and also worked for Tom's Installation in Celina. Mr. Real, along with his wife, Allis, were the past owner/operator of the Tracks Inn for 22 years. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians and Ohio State Buckeye fan. He enjoyed camping, fishing and loved to watch John Wayne movies. Survivors include his wife, the former Allis Walter, whom he married on August 17, 1954; his children, Kevin (Becky) Real of LaSalle, IL, Jody (Butch) Barnett of Warren, Tomi (Joseph) Portale of Johnson, and Penni (Harold) Rosenberger of Cortland; four grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Real, Jamie Roach, and Jerry McConahy and four step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Mineko Renee Roach. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Other than his parents, Tommie was preceded in death by his siblings, Maxine and Kathleen McMurray, Donna Reed, Charles Forwerk, Jane Vorhees, Bernice May, and Robert Forwerk. Family and friends may gather at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel for visitation on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 2-4 PM. Mr. Real will then be transported to the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, 901 Myers Road, Celina, Ohio where family and friends may gather for visitation on Monday, June 17, 2013 from 6-8 PM with funeral services to follow on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 11 AM. Tommie will be laid to rest at the North Grove Cemetery in Celina, Ohio.
