Travis Jay Shaffer

Travis Jay Shaffer, 16, passed away on June 15, 2017. Travis was born on December 4, 2000 in Colorado Springs, CO to Mark & Jennifer (Heard) Shaffer. Travis just completed his 10th grade year of TEACH homeschool program. He was a natural athlete and excelled at point guard in basketball. He loved to golf with his dad and jump on trampolines. When he wasn't participating in sports he was watching the Denver Broncos or the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was an amazing young man with a great heart. He was comforted by his faith in Jesus and truly loved his God. He was active in many youth groups and participated in Battalion. Travis was also a typical teenager and spent a lot of time making videos for his YouTube channel. A memorial service for Travis will be held on Friday June 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Believers Church; 2577 Schenley Ave NE, Warren, OH 44483. Travis is survived by his parents Mark & Jennifer Shaffer, his sisters Desirai & Holly Shaffer and Veronica Dickerson; his maternal grandparents John & Carolyn Heard, his paternal grandparents Mark (Shari) Shaffer and Karen (Keith) Williams; his paternal great grandfather Robert Shaffer; his aunts and uncles Joel Heard, Stephanie Frost and Cory Williams as well as many other relatives. Travis was preceded in death by his sister Crystal Heard.
