Austintown Chapel Austintown: Vada Orlene Reel, age 92 of Austintown, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Northside Hospital Medical Center, Youngstown, Ohio. Vada was born in Clearville, Pennsylvania on November 26, 1921 to parents; William and Gladys (Hendershot) May. Vada married Jack Reel on January 23, 1942 and together they had three wonderful sons. Vada and Jack shared 64 years of marriage before he passed away on July 9, 2006. Vada was a member of Smith Corners United Methodist Church, the Mahoning County Farm Bureau, United Methodist Women officer, and had taught piano and organ since 1936. She had been pianist and organist at the church for 78 years. Vada was very active member of the Dublin Grange in Canfield, and an Austintown Fitch graduate of 1940. Vada's most cherished past time was that spent with her family. Survivors include her sons; Gary (Sandie) Reel, of Austintown, Wayne (Judi) Reel, of Austintown, daughter in law Mary Ann Reel, of Austintown, sisters; Freda Kochera, of Austintown, Janice Wehr, of Arlington, Texas, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Vada is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son; Kenneth, and sister; Wilma Tiller. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October, 28, 2014 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel from 4:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, where friends may also call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions made in Vada's name to Smith Corners United Methodist Church and the Youngstown Rescue Mission.
