Vera Wegendt

GARFIELD HEIGHTS-Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 AM Monday, November 13, 2006 in Holy Name Church in Youngstown with closing prayers at 8:45 AM in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Vera Wegendt, 88, formerly of 101 N. Maryland Ave in Youngstown, who passed away in Jennings Center for Older Adults in Garfield Heights. Vera was born November 28, 1917 in Campbell, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Gnat) Oley. Vera was a homemaker and a member of Holy Name Church in Youngstown. Vera was married to Steve Wegendt and he preceded her in death in 1984. Vera is survived by four children Gloria A. (Raymond) Parks of Garfield Heights, Stephen J. (Eileen) Wegendt of Youngstown, Karen J. (Gregory) Petrovich of Canfield, and Eric L. Wegendt of Youngstown; and nine grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Vera was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, and five brothers John, Frank, Joe, Mike, and Stanley Oley. Family and friends may gather on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 2 to 4 PM in the funeral home.
