Verna A. Brunton

Verna A. Brunton of Austintown, Ohio died on Sunday (01-11-2009) at her sons home in Liberty. She was 98 years old. Mrs. Brunton was born in Youngstown, OH on June 20, 1910, a daughter of Sampson. and Elizabeth (Sheeves) Piersol . Verna retired from Commercial Shearing in Youngstown in 1971 after over twenty years as an inspector. She is survived by her son James S. Gould and his wife Valerie of Liberty Twp., OH; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Gould and Floyd Brunton; and two daughters Lois McKim and Betsy Gould. Private funeral services will be held Wednesday. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery in Coitsville, Ohio. Lane Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel handled the arrangements.
