Verna M. Douglas

There will be a funeral service 11 AM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Verna M. Douglas, of Austintown, formerly of Mineral Ridge, who passed away Tuesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1917 in Austintown a daughter of the late Scott A. and Gertrude L. (Carns) Neff. A homemaker, Verna was of the Protestant faith. She loved cooking and baking for and spending time with her family, and watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Her first husband, Gordon M. Grimm, and second husband, Laurel h. Douglas, precede her in death. Verna is survived by a daughter Donna Sudimak of Austintown; one sister Madeline Nicholson of Austintown; a brother Wayne Neff of Austintown; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, Verna is preceded in death by two sons: Gary Grimm and Gordon W. Grimm; two sisters: Hazel Wilks, and Bernice Portello; and three brothers: Herman, Arnold, and Willis Neff.
