Vernina Marie Ivey

Vernina Marie Ivey, 80, went to be with her Lord on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the St. Joseph Health Care Center in Warren, Ohio. Vernina was born on May 22, 1934 in Orwell, Ohio at home to the late, Emerson and Vera M. Coons Leeworthy. Vernina was a member of the Warren Revival Center, the Warren Garden Club and SCOPE. She was an avid pool and bingo player, enjoyed traveling and loved family functions. Vernina is survived by her children, Cathy Hogue, Cheryl George, Candy George, Bill George Jr., Cindy Hill and Carla (David) Zambino; 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; 5 brothers and 1 sister. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William George and second husband, Robert Ivey; parents; son, Willie George; 2 sisters and 1 brother. Calling hours for Vernina will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Dr. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home following calling hours at 12:00PM. Pastor James Holbrook will officiate.
