Vernon R. Clay

Vernon R. Clay, age 79 passed away Monday, October 14, 2013 at Vista Center in the Ridge. Vernon was born on June 11, 1934 in Columbiana, Ohio to parents Noah D. and Bertha (McClish) Clay. Vernon worked for Penn Towel Services as a textile worker, retiring in the early 1990's. Vernon enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles. He is survived by his brothers; George (North Lima), Harry (Cookie) (Canfield), Norman (Sue) (Austintown), sisters; Betty Coy (Salem), Irene Foy (Austintown), several nieces and nephews. Vernon is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward W. Clay. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel from 5:30-6:30pm. A funeral service will follow at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
